Returns, Replacements & Refunds Policies

Before you buy a plant from us please note:

Plants are living things, so we can not 100% guarantee any plant will thrive in your space.

We work hard to choose the healthiest plants and give you everything you need to succeed — including detailed care instructions.

But once the plant is delivered to you, we cannot be responsible for its behavior. If you see any signs of distress, please contact us right away, so we can help you.

Above all, make sure you’re ready for plant parenthood. Your plant relies on you to give it healthy living conditions. We’re here to help — and provide answers to your questions — but, at the end of the day, you’re the plant’s guardian. And your plant can’t survive without your love and care.

Things to know before you buy a plant(s):

  1. Plants are living and perishable, and just like any living things require proper environment and care.
  2. Our job is to choose the healthiest and best looking plant(s) for you. 

    We guarantee that all of our plants are in healthy condition free from visible pests and disease at the time of sale. Once a plant is delivered to you it is beyond our control, and we can not be responsible for a plant behavior.

  3. We provide care instructions but these instructions are just a guidelines and watering frequency, care routine will vary depending on temperature, air circulation, light and humidity in a space.
  4. All plants go through acclimation period after being delivered and during major season changes. Some lower leaves might turn yellow or brown, plant might drop some leaves during these periods.
  5. Make sure your plant is not placed near Heat or AC source. It is best to keep consistent room temperature throughout the seasons and not turn off Heat or AC when away or traveling. The best temperature ratio for almost any plant is 60F-75F.

    PLANTS RETURN POLICY

    If you have changed your mind after receiving your order, no worries, you may return it. Notify us within the first 48 hours via return request form, and we will come to pick it up.

    Pick up fees + 20% re-stocking fee will apply to the refund amount of the returned order. Original delivery fees are non refundable. *** Pickup and delivery fees vary depending on your location and amount of plants.

    • After 48 hours period returns are not excepted.

     

    PLANTS REPLACEMENT POLICY


        • If your plant(s) or planter(s) arrive damaged, we will replace it free of charge. Notify us within first 24 hours via replacement request form, and we will send a replacement asap.
        • If a potted plant in Lechuza planter or clay pot dies within first 7 days or pest/disease issues become visible, we will replace it asap free of charge.

          After 7 days period, we offer full replacement service for existing planters.

          Replacement Service: Purchase of a new plant + pickup fee + repotting service fee (labor/materials) + delivery fee + sales tax (if in New York). Fees vary depending on a location and plant size.

    Send us the replacement request via replacement request form to get the replacement service quote.

    *** One can choose the same type of plant or any other type of plant that is available for the existing planter style/model, previously purchased from My City Plants. The old plant is taken away. New plant comes potted. 

    • If a plant in nursery pot dies or pest/disease issues become visible within first 5 days, we will replace it free of charge. After 5 days period, we don't offer any replacement discounts for plants purchased in nursery pots.

     

    PLANTERS/ACCESSORIES RETURN POLICY


    Planters/accessories may be returned up to 30 days from date of purchase.

    Purchaser is responsible for return shipping costs. All Shipping fees are non-refundable. 

    Returns of used items will not be accepted.

    CANCELATION POLICY


    1. If order is canceled by a customer prior a delivery date, a customer will get a full refund.
    2. If order is canceled on a day of delivery, a customer will get a full refund minus re-stocking fee of $40.00 per plant. Send us cancelation request via cancellation request form.

     

    SUBSTITUTION


    Rarely, substitutions of plant or pots are necessary due to temporary weather and stock availability issues. If this is the case with a plant or planter you’ve selected, My City Plants will contact you and ensure that the style and color scheme of your choice is preserved and will only substitute items of equal or higher value.
